My work focuses on cancer epidemiology with the following emphases: (1) The mechanisms linking obesity with cancer, particularly the effects of inflammation, adipokine dysregulation, and insulin resistance on cancer development. (2) Genetic epidemiology, particularly polymorphisms of the genes involved in insulin, IGF, and cytokine signaling. (3) The natural history of human papillomavirus and its associated cervical neoplasia.
